Recently, I was given one of those dreamy super-rush jobs of a project; just shy of one week from brief to delivery of multiple comps. I like how short timelines offer just enough time to figure out a conceptual strategy and execute it. Herewith, one of the short-notice comps.

Ultimately, the project ended up in an equally quick kill-fee. The client went in another direction. Had I slaved for weeks, I would feel worse about this. Had the project continued to move forward, I would have relished the fact that a Canadian designed the cover...
