While the mercury is beginning to rise and the birds are starting to sing again I'm looking forward to dead leaves and scratchy sweaters.

I'm often asked to adapt an existing book cover design for catalogue use but, this time I was given the chance to come up with something new.

nice. This are books right?

Ian, yes, they are books. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice.

I had done a variation on this with the books as leaves forming a tree for the fall catalogue that is on my blog now, but this is much more successful. Mine looked dated, this looks really modern and fresh.

how many titles do you do on an average for these guys?

David Gee said...

Varies. Roughly twenty or so titles last year. About the same this year, so far.

Are you satisfied with most of the work you do for them? Is it mostly fiction or other stuff?

David Gee said...

Satisfied, thanks. I work on whatever they throw my way.
